Privacy notice
What we collect, and why
The short version: we use enquiry details to respond, scope a possible inspection and keep the form secure. We do not sell personal information.
Last updated: 12 July 2026 · Notice version: privacy-2026-07-12
Who this notice covers
This notice covers information submitted through the BuildInspect website, including the callback form, and the limited technical information used to operate and protect the site. It does not replace the separate scope, records or terms that may apply if you book a service.
Information we collect
When you request a callback, we may collect:
- your name, mobile number and preferred contact method;
- the service, locality, property type, approximate area and preferred timeline;
- the message or context you choose to provide;
- the page and campaign source that brought you to the form; and
- a record of the callback request, submission identifier and anti-spam verification result.
Cloudflare may process request information such as IP address, browser or device signals in order to deliver the site and run the Turnstile anti-spam check. We may also use limited, aggregate website analytics to understand which pages are useful. We do not intentionally send your name, phone number or form message to website analytics.
How we use enquiry details
We use the information to:
- respond by WhatsApp or phone, as you requested;
- understand the property and suggest an appropriate inspection or audit scope;
- discuss timing, availability and quote factors;
- record follow-up status and avoid duplicate enquiries;
- understand which website pages or campaigns lead to useful conversations; and
- detect spam, abuse and technical problems.
A callback request is not marketing consent. We do not preselect marketing permission, and we will not add you to promotional messages merely because you asked about an inspection.
Where the information goes
The website is delivered through Cloudflare. Cloudflare Turnstile checks callback submissions for abuse. Valid enquiries are sent through a signed Google Apps Script endpoint into a private Google Sheet, and Google email services send a notification to the BuildInspect enquiry inbox. If website analytics is enabled, Umami processes limited site-usage events.
These providers process information to help us operate the website and follow up enquiries. We do not sell or rent enquiry details.
Repairs, lawyers and other referrals
Inspection findings remain independent of repair work. Any repair referral or coordination is separate and optional. Repair work arranged through BuildInspect is separately scoped and quoted, and performed by a disclosed third-party provider; customers may use any contractor. A detailed title or legal review is also a separate service delivered by an affiliated lawyer. We share your contact or property details with a repair provider or lawyer only when you request the referral and agree to that sharing. Where practical, we may instead give you their details so you can contact them directly.
How long we keep it
If an enquiry does not become a customer engagement, our default is to delete or anonymise the lead record after 180 days. If you book a service, relevant details move into a separate service record and may be kept for the inspection, report, follow-up, accounting and record-keeping needs connected with that engagement. Anti-abuse and aggregate analytics records may follow the shorter or longer retention settings of the relevant service.
Your choices
You may ask what enquiry information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, request deletion, or tell us to stop contacting you about the enquiry. Email contact@buildinspect.in with the mobile number used in the form so we can identify the right record. We may ask for reasonable verification before acting on a request. If we need to retain a limited record for an active service issue or a record-keeping obligation, we will explain that when responding.
Keeping details proportionate
Please do not put Aadhaar numbers, bank information, payment-card details, passwords or full property-title documents in the callback form. The form is for enquiry context. If a scoped review requires sensitive documents, agree the purpose and transfer method with BuildInspect or the responsible lawyer first.
Questions or privacy requests
Contact BuildInspect at contact@buildinspect.in. We may update this notice as our services and systems change; the date and version at the top identify the notice that applies to a form submission.
Ready to discuss an inspection? The callback form asks only for the context needed to begin a conversation, or you can use the phone and WhatsApp options shown across the site.
